| Hole 1 |
346m - Par 4 - SI 8 |
Glebe Hill |
One of the
best opening holes in Ireland. Not too long but the lake
on the right flows into a drain that runs across and down
the left-hand side of the fairway. A par here feels like
a birdie.
Click image on the right for a view from the 1st tee. |
|
|
| Hole 2 |
264m - Par 4 - SI 16 |
Gate Lodge |
A short but
tight driving hole. Most golfers will be trying to achieve
a position for a shot into a sloping green. The "big
boys" drive the green but a few yards too far and
you're out-of-bounds!
Click image on the right for a view from the 2nd tee. |
|
|
| Hole 3 |
490m - Par 5- SI 2 |
Manchester
Drive |
First Par
'5' on the course. Two long, straight shots will give
you a short pitch to the green but look out for the out-of-bounds
a few yards to the right of the green. Be happy with a
'5' here.

|
|
|
| Hole 4 |
307m - Par 4 - SI 18 |
The Oak |
| Guarding the
left side of the fairway, the large Oak is the focal point
from the tee, but beware of the pond on the right. The
ducks may accompany you as you make your way past the
pond. The easiest hole on the course. |
|
| Hole 5 |
166m - Par 3 - SI 11 |
Brandy's
Home |
| Keep your
tee shot to the left side of the green but don't drop
into the bunker on the front-left. Miss the green on the
right and you'll be writing down a '4'. |
|
| Hole 6 |
322m - Par 4 - SI 6 |
Baucher
Way |
| The big hitters
need to watch our for the bunkers on the right side of
the fairway. All drives from the tee will rol to the left,
so keep your drive to the right. Ensure you take enough
club for your shot to the green - it is longer than it
looks! |
|
| Hole 7 |
388m - Par 4 - SI 3 |
Pylons |
Driving into
the face of a hill, with trees left and right, can leave
a "blind" second shot to this Index '3' hole.
Aim at the pylons from the top of the hill and a par is
a very good score at this hole. Take in the beautiful
scenery from the top of the hill before you head down
to the green.

hill towards the green in the dip. |
|
|
| Hole 8 |
456m - Par 5 - SI 13 |
Rhododendrons |
This Par '5'
is bordered by trees and shrubs, reminiscent of Augusta
when in flower. The old boundary wall is in play, with
an internal out-of-bounds running alongside it, to catch
a wayward second shot. Part of the Tandragee '100' motorcyle
race can be seen (and heard) on the day of the race.
Click image on the right for a view from your 3rd shot
to the green. |
|
|
| Hole 9 |
182m - Par 3 - SI 12 |
Derryallen |
This Par '3'
requires an accurate tee shot to hit the green. Playing
safe on the left can leave a tricky chip down to the green.
Out-of-bounds on the right.

|
|
| Hole 10 |
305m - Par 4 - SI 14 |
Cassells
Corner |
Named after
ex-Green's Convenor Rab Cassells, this short Par '4' gives
views of outstanding beauty from the tee with Sleive Donard
on the left and the Sperrin Mountains ahead. Aim for the
fairway bunkers and fade your ball back into the fairway
for a perfect approach to the green. A tricky hole for
the unwary.

|
|
|
| Hole 11 |
380m - Par 4 - SI 1 |
The Wall |
The original
boundary wall on the right is still out-of-bounds. The
trees on the left guide you to a slightly hidden green
with more rhododendrons to the left. A Par '5' for the
ladies, this hole deservedly lives up to its Index '1'
status.
Click image on the right for a view from the 11th tee.
The wall is behind the trees on the right. |
|
|
| Hole 12 |
350m - Par 4 - SI 5 |
The Avenue |
| Driving up
the hill, this dog-leg right hole requires an accurate
tee shot to ensure a relatively easy tee shot to an undulating
green. Trees right and left make this a difficult hole
if you have had a poor drive. |
|
| Hole 13 |
363m - Par 4 - SI 9 |
Clare Glen |
Driving to
the top of the hill leaves you looking down onto this
Index '9' hole with a medium iron in your hand. The wonderful
view of the Mournes to the right will not be appreciated
if your ball goes that way.
Click image on the right for a view from behind the 13th
green. |
|
|
| Hole
14 |
140m - Par 3
- SI 17 |
The
Cusher |
The easiest
of the short holes, with the highest number of 'aces'.
Aim left edge of the green but if you miss the green to
the right, a bogey is more likely.
Click image on the right for a view from the 14th tee.
|
|
|
| Hole 15 |
304m - Par 4 - SI 7 |
Plateau |
| Affectionally
known as "Thrombosis" by members, the elevated
green built onto the side of a hill has caused many a
heart to flutter. Made more difficult the farther left
you are on the fairway but too far right puts you into
the trees. This hole is Index '1' for the ladies, and
rightly so. |
|
| Hole 16 |
157m - Par 3 - SI 10 |
The Quarry |
| Many would
say this is the signature hole of Tandragee with the elevated
green flanked by steep slopes on three sides. Unlike Calamity
at Royal Portrush, there is no 'bale out' at this hole! |
|
| Hole 17 |
474m - Par 5 - SI 15 |
Coach Road |
The Old Coach
Road is clearly visible running across the fairway on
this Par '5' hole. The fairway slopes from right to left
with fir trees awaiting anything down the left side. Watch
for the Irish Hares sheltering in the trees.
Click image on the right for a view from your 2nd shot
down the fairway. |
|
|
| Hole 18 |
342m - Par 4 - SI 4 |
The Well |
Named for
the spring that bubbled up from behind the green, this
hole is now dominated by the pond on the right, which
swallows any short shot from a tired golfer. At Index
'4', this is a good test before you can relax in clubhouse.

to the 18th green. |
