Home Nations Golf Championship

JT

Following the success of our Fred Daly junior golf team this year, the club has been invited to represent Ireland in the Home Nations Junior Team Golf Championship in Antequera, Costa del Sol, Andalucia, Spain this March.

The boy’s journey in this year’s Fred Daly inter-club tournament began in April and they played ten matches before reaching the Ulster Finals.  Having won the Provincial title they represented Ulster at the All Ireland Finals in September where they finished runners-up.

In order to raise funds to cover the cost of the trip for the boys the volunteer committee asks that you consider giving a donation to this worthwhile trip.

The junior section goals are to create opportunities for junior golfers to learn, play and enjoy the game of golf, to promote the game across the community and raise awareness of the benefits of being involved in golf.  Being able to send the team to compete in the tournament will reward the boys for their continued dedication to the game of golf and to their continued loyalty to the golf club and will be a big step towards reaching our goals.

Any wishing to donate or sponsor the Boys is asked to speak to Dympna or Angela in the Pro-Shop.
